OBIEE offer several variables which can be set :
- variables from the OBIEE Server known as session and repository variables.
This kind of variable can be initiate with the help of SQL statement and can be use in the logical sql
- variables managed by the Presentation Service known as Presentation Variable.
This kind of variable are used to pass value between dashboard prompt and to set some filter.
